MAASAI MARA GAME RESERVE
Maasai Mara is Kenya's finest wildlife sanctuary and covers about 1510 square kilometers. The wildlife is abundant and the gently rolling plains ensure that animals are never out of sight. Bird life too is prolific - there are well over 450 spices recorded among them 57 species birds of prey. Between July and October, when the great wildebeest migration is in the Mara the sensation is unparalleled. We guarantee that you will see the famous Maasai lions, which nowhere else can be seen more plentiful. The Maasai Mara is served by several rivers along which most of the lodges are built. These rivers are home to hippos and crocodiles. Apart from the plains' game, the Mara is also a host to - lion, leopard, rhino, cheetah elephant and buffalo.

MARA SERENA LODGE
Secreted deep within the Masai Mara National Reserve, the Mara Serena Safari Lodge is the ultimate safari destination. Set high on a bush-cloaked hill, embraced by arcing vistas and washed by a sea of richly rolling grasslands, it stands centre-stage to one of Africa’s most dramatic wildlife arenas and has a ringside seat for the greatest wildlife show on Earth, the legendary migration of the wildebeest.
Drawing its inspiration from the traditional Maasai cultural motif of a cluster of domed, mud-coloured huts encircled by a “Boma” of brushwood, the Mara Serena offers a rare blend of raw African splendour and sumptuous sophistication. The essentially ethnic décor also draws on a vibrant colour-palette of sun-burst colours, embellished by a unique selection of Maasai art to create the look and feel of a traditional bush encampment. The lodge features individual rooms, each with their own balcony and view of eternity, a sky-blue swimming pool and a spectacular restaurant, overlooking a water hole where a fantasia of creatures collect to drink.

In Kenya it passes from Lake Turkana in the north to Lake Magadi in the south.  In between there are a series of lakes e.g. Baringo, Bogoria, Nakuru, Elementeita and Naivasha. Lake Bogoria, Nakuru and Elementeita boast millions of flamingoes, which is a spectacular sight. Volcanic activities left their mark in the Rift Valley and can be found in form of half submerged islands, giant calderas and the distinctive cone shapes which dot the landscape as well as dormant volcanoes.
The Rift Valley evokes a sense of immense mystery and the power of time.

The lodge has 30 beautiful split-level rooms, stylishly blending ancient African design with the finest modern furnishings; the rooms offer new heights of luxury on the edge of Kenya's Great Rift Valley. From a waterhole where buffalo and the graceful antelope gather regularly, to the shimmering waters of Lake Naivasha and, beyond, the sweeping crater-studded floor of the world's largest valley. The main clubhouse offers one of Africa's most beautiful dining experiences, with superb Mediterranean cuisine served on a balcony with the same huge, elemental views.
